Ceramic tiles and AC sheet roofing & GI roofing

Ceramic tiles :

Ceramic tiles are made from a mixture of clay, sand and other natural materials. The tiles are produced when the products are combined and molded into shape and then fired at a high temperature (UP TO 1250 DEGREES CELSIUS) in the kiln. Ceramics for tiles include earthenware, stoneware or porcelain. Stoneware is harder and more durable than earthenware, and so more suitable for the floor, but there is a slight difference between porcelain and ceramic tiles. Terracotta is traditionally used for roof tiles, but other manufactured materials including types of concrete may now be used. Ceramic tile is used in applications such as flooring, walls, countertops, and fireplaces. Tile also is a very durable and hygienic construction product that adds beauty to any application. Bathrooms are furnished with sanitary ware that is made of a similar material to that of some tile.

AC sheet roofing :

Asbestos cement (AC) is a material which consists of 15 percent fibers evenly distributed and pressed with cement. Ac sheets are manufactured in sufficiently large sizes. The width of an Ac sheet varies from 1.0 – 1.2 m and length from 1.75 m –Biom. To get good strength with less thickness, the sheets are manufactured with corrugation. They are fixed to the purlines using J bolts. This type of roofing is both economical and waterproof. It has poor thermal resistance. It is used commonly as a covering material in warehouses, godowns or large hales.

GI Roofing :

Galvanized iron corrugated sheets are manufactured in sizes 1.0 – 1.2 m wide and 1.65 m long. Galvanization makes the iron rust-proof. The sheets are fixed to steel purloin with J bolts and washers. They are durable, fair proof, need no maintenance.
