HOLLOW BRICKS

These are from clay formed with one or more cavities which reduce their weight. These have 20 mm to 25 mm thick wall or skins with two or more webs. They are light in weight and thus suitable for partition walls. The cavity in them reduces the transmission of sound and heat. These bricks are machine pressed. The machine has a plunger of solid metal cores forming cavity in the bricks.
