TILES
The tiles are similar to bricks but are thinner than the bricks and prepared from stronger clay. Because these are thinner then bricks, these are manufactured very carefully and are liable to be damaged in drying and burning by way of warping and cracking. Manufacturing of tiles is done in the same way as bricks. Burning of tiles is done in a special type kiln.
The earthenware is a clay product manufactured
from ordinary clay mixed with sand and crushed pottery etc. The burning of the
clay is done at low temperature. The earthenware tiles have a glazed top
surface having underside and edges unglazed. These are used for finishing the
surfaces of wall and floors of toilets, kitchens, hospitals, hospitals where
cleanliness is the main important factor.
