Granolithik Flooring

It is a finishing coat which is provided over a concrete surface. The concrete mix to be used is usually of 1:1:2 or 1:3 i.e., one part of cement, one part of sand and 2 to 3 part of specially selected aggregate which should be from basalt, limestone or quartzite. The granolithic layer of concrete is laid before the base concrete is set to get a monolithic construction. The minimum thickness of finishing should be 12 mm. After the granolithic layer is laid, the surface is tamped and floated with wooden floats and finally smoothness using a steel trowel.
