The development of strength & heat of hydration be controlled in cement manufacturing

When Pozzolona materials added to water and the amount of C2S increases in the mixing of concrete then the heat of hydration is controlled. It is important that the addition of pozzolona does not contribute to the strength at early ages. Strength similar to OPC can be expected in general only at later ages provided the concrete is cured under moist conditions for a sufficient period.
