EXCAVATOR

Excavators are heavy construction equipment consisting of a boom, stick, bucket, and cab 

on a rotating platform used for various kind of Excavation Work. The Upper The structure 

sits atop an undercarriage with tracks or wheels.

All movement and functions of a hydraulic excavator are accomplished through the use of 

hydraulic fluid, with hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motors.

Excavators are basically of two types

     1)Mechanical rope type  

     2)Fully hydraulic

At present only hydraulic excavators are in use although you will still find mechanical rope excavators are normally classified in terms of its weight (6, 20, 30, ton) although the same are classified in terms of bucket capacity (0.3, 0.7, 0.9, 1.1, 1.2 Cum) or the total weight it can lift.

Bucket capacity  :  0.7-1.2 cum
